This performance / installation served as a reaction to the anti-immigrant policy implemented in 2017. Supported by the New World School of the Arts and under the guidance of the Art Wynwood director, the artists engaged eight immigrants to undertake the task of cleaning Art Wynwood and the surrounding neighborhoods during the Art Basel Fair in March 2017. At that time, the artist, who was also an immigrant, grappled with an unclear status.

In January 2017, the Trump Administration issued a series of executive orders that eliminated all immigration enforcement priorities, leading to virtually every undocumented individual in the U.S. becoming a deportation priority. This absence of enforcement priorities removed the possibility of individualized assessments for immigration cases. Furthermore, this resulted in the mass detention of thousands of undocumented individuals in deplorable conditions.
