Curated by Miguel Gonzalez, NWSA faculty, Techno-Graphies explores the intersection of place, identity, and digital culture through the lens of contemporary art. Inspired by the aesthetics and ethos of techno—its rhythms, underground roots, and spatial dynamics—the exhibition presents works that map physical and virtual terrains shaped by technology. From immersive installations to digital landscapes and sound-based works, artists investigate how techno mediates our sense of location, community, and presence in an increasingly networked world.

Waves of a Transcultural Discourse within Video and New Media American Art

“The Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas is working diligently to finalize Converging Plateaus and Stubborn, exhibitions set to open next Friday as part of the ArtEd Connect program in collaboration with the University of Miami (UM). “

“Miami's artistic community is renowned for its diversity and cultural richness, mirroring the multicultural essence of the city. Involvement in this community exposes artists to a broad spectrum of perspectives, influences, and artistic styles,” said graduate  Alian Martinez Rives. “

The Bonnier Gallery is delighted to present The MFA Showcase: Year 2, featuring select works by MFA graduate students from the University of Miami, Florida International University, and a special collaboration between Miami International University of Art & Design and The55Project.

Three talented young Miami artists who work primarily on digital mediums (selected by Arsht Center partner and gallerist Fred Snitzer) – Ruth Burotte, Alian Martinez Rives, John Medina – each created three pieces of digital artwork that will be minted into NFTs.

Electric Night by Alain Martinez Rives, 2021, Limited Edition of 1.  This piece was inspired by the work of Vincent Van Gogh as seen in the Lasting Impressions: The 3D LED Experience at Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County.

In the New World Gallery at NWSA, Alian Martinez Rives presented Deconstruction After Rodchenko, an exhibit of archival digital prints and animation. The works explored the interrelated disciplines of mathematics and design.

Alian Martinez Rives’ “Kakotopia,” a VR installation comprised of archival digital prints addresses society’s manipulation of reality.

Through an immersive experience, Kakotopia intends to investigate the concept of Phildickian Dystopia in the semiotic possibilities of actions and objects using a poetic and playful approach.

The Senior’s Project (New World School of the Arts, directed by Alian Martinez Rives). Experimental, 5 min film was among the ten finalists at the Miami Film Festival (CINEMASLAM).

Alian Martinez Rives’ Waking Dream, intentionally placed in a secluded room off the gallery, allowed the audience to imagine the world of the artist in the unconscious sleep state.

En el primer apartado recibió el máximo reconocimiento Alián Martínez por su obra Re-Evolución
